About the Opportunity:
The Slavov Lab is looking for an enthusiastic Research Technician to help perform wet bench laboratory experiment including, preparing samples, collecting data, ordering inventory, and overseeing laboratory safety, in addition to routine and administrative tasks such as calendar management and conference support. The successful candidate will be encouraged to develop professionally by working on a project related to the core research interests of the lab, described here: http://slavovlab.net/

Qualifications:
Successful applicants should be organized, thorough and observant. They should also enjoy working collaboratively and have good communication skills and possess the minimum education, experience, and skills required to perform the job successfully. Applicants must have experience with standard molecular biology techniques and at least a B.S. degree.


Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates should be enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and collaboratively. Detailed knowledge of optical imaging techniques such as multiphoton microscopy or optical coherence tomography and/or neuroscience is a considerable asset, as is experience with animal experiments.
