Position Summary:
The Prospect Research Strategist is an integral member of the campus fundraising team. This position is responsible for identifying, researching, and analyzing prospects for the University of Idaho. This specialized research and analysis facilitates the pipeline of major gift prospects by the University President, Deans, VP's, Development Officers, and other units involved in development activities. This analysis on prospects contains an assessment of ability and inclination to make a major gift and suggest strategies for cultivating and soliciting the prospect.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 years research experience in development or related professional arena
- Experience with online databases and services, information resources and data management
- Experience with prospect identification strategies and research techniques
- Experience in project management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of development activities, preferably in higher education
- Experience conducting analytical research
- Knowledge of collecting and tabulating macro-level data
- Evidence of initiative and resourcefulness
- Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses strong interpersonal and customer service skills
