The Oakland University School of Nursing is seeking highly
motivated and qualified CRNA applicants to teach graduate students
enrolled in the Oakland University-Beaumont Graduate Program of
Nurse Anesthesia, beginning August 15, 2021. Applicants will be
expected to engage in all aspects of the program, including but not
limited to, teaching in the classroom, clinical mentoring, guiding
the development of clinical doctorate projects, and developing and
evaluating curriculum. A minimum of 2 years in a leadership or
faculty role is preferred. Candidates must be expert clinicians and
able to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to service. The ability
to effectively communicate and work within a team environment is
essential. Candidates must also demonstrate experience with or
commitment to diversity and inclusion and developing a diverse
faculty and student body. First consideration of applicants is on
April 30, 2021 with continued search until the position is
filled.It is preferred that candidates have a completed doctorate
(DNP, DNAP, PhD, DNSc etc.) from an accredited university.
Applicants who are enrolled in a doctoral program and are all but
completed with their dissertation or doctoral project may be
considered if they can demonstrate evidence of degree completion
prior to employment. To be considered, an applicant must have a
minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience in the specialty
of nurse anesthesia and a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching
nurse anesthesia students in the classroom or clinical environment.
Candidates must have graduated from an accredited School of Nurse
Anesthesia and must have current certification/recertification by
the NBCRNA. Applicants must have a current, unrestricted Michigan
Registered Nurse license or be eligible for Michigan RN licensure
and specialty licensure to practice in Michigan as a Certified
Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
