The University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Mass Communication invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Media Production and Design beginning August 16, 2021. We seek a student-oriented colleague to teach fundamental and advanced film and video production. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to teach online in our undergraduate and graduate curriculum and teach core classes in the School of Mass Communication, in particular MCOM 3310 Web Principles and Design. The School of Mass Communication is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion in its classes, it's journalistic writing, and its productions; ideal candidates will demonstrate cultural competence in their professional and interpersonal engagement with students, staff, faculty, and members of the public. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy. 

Required Education and/or Experience:  A Doctoral degree in Mass Communication or a related field, ABDs will be considered and are encouraged to apply; Experience in teaching college classes; Experience in teaching online courses; Evidence of scholarship or scholarly potential. 

Preferred Education and/or Experience The ability to teach core classes in the School of Mass Communication, in particular, MCOM 3310 Web Principles and Design.
