The University of Florida, Department of Radiation Oncology is seeking a successful an academically oriented junior physicist to contribute to the academic mission of the department. The position is targeted towards an individual who is seeking a rewarding and challenging academic position in Radiation Oncology. In this coming year, we are installing a MR Simulator, a linear accelerator and a MR linear accelerator. You will join a group of 7 Ph.D. physicists, 2 residents and three graduate students. Responsibilities include: all aspects of clinical radiation oncology physics; responsibility for the medical physics graduate student teaching program; assistance with the medical physics residency training program; development and direction for the 4D image guidance quality control programs; responsibility for special treatment procedures and back-up for the brachytherapy program; oversight for work of therapists and dosimetrists; and implementation of advanced technology radiation therapy planning and delivery techniques. Rank and Tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications.
Applicants must have a PhD. Must be Board certified or board eligible in Radiation Oncology.
