Position Summary:
The Conferencing and Events Planner provides assistance to customers by acting as a liaison in the planning, coordination and implementation of conferences, events and other programs held at Eastern Kentucky University.


Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree is required.


Minimum Experience:
•Two years of directly related experience is required.
•Experience must include large event planning and knowledge of collegiate event scheduling software.

Desired Qualifications:
•Seasoned knowledge of the requirements of event planning.
•Working knowledge of principles of event marketing.
•Working knowledge of budgeting and finance.
•Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
•Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in business and organizational planning, coordination, and execution.

Liaison for Administration of Events
Ensures the effective operations of Conferencing & Events by completing other duties as assigned.
