About the Opportunity:
The Bouve College of Health Sciences seeks an Administrative Coordinator to join their team in the Center for Drug Discovery.

Bouve College of Health Sciences is comprised of four preeminent schools of study encompassing approximately 1,000 faculty and staff, 5,000 students, and 40,000 alumni.

Please note: The primary work location for this position is the Boston MA Northeastern University Campus Location. Until our full return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process will be conducted remotely- including virtual interviews, remote onboarding and remote work. The remote nature of this position is subject to change in the future and is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required once the College and this role return to an operational status that supports it.

Responsibilities:
The Administrative Coordinator will assist the Director in his role as operations administrator for the Center for Drug Discovery and contribute to the Center's effectiveness and successful daily operations. This position will also involve independently developing effective systems and procedures. The candidate will have autonomous decision-making authority over all key responsibility areas, while contributing to team led projects within the CDD. Specific Responsibilities: Initiate all scheduling including travel arrangements and reimbursements; human resources activities, Screen and prioritize all internal and external CDD communications and compose appropriate responses; Create and compose CDD documents and presentations; Develop and maintain Materials Transfers Agreements and the distribution of CDD developed chemical compounds to collaborative sites; Primary Coordinator for all special events, including Annual Retreat, CDD Symposium, Lecture Series and Advisory Boards, together with all public relations, travel and scheduling; Recruit, interview, hire, supervise and evaluate work study students; Maintain, update and help structure CDD website.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required plus at least three years of business or academic administrative experience or commensurate experience. Strong demonstrable interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal required. Excellent computer, organizational and analytical skills required. He/she must be able to take an idea from conceptualization to implementation. Candidate needs to work in a highly dynamic environment, which would include being able to quickly change priorities and speedily respond to time-sensitive tasks. The candidate must be able to independently and autonomously make value-based decisions, multi-task, work independently, and handle confidential information. This is a stimulating work environment suitable for an extremely organized team player. Must have intermediate to expert experience working with MS-Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and various e-mail programs. Must be able to demonstrate and have experience maintaining a professional website and be familiar with website management software. Familiarity with ChemDraw (or other desktop design software), MS Access, Endnote and Adobe Acrobat Professional also required. Final candidates will be asked to demonstrate or show examples of skills outlined in this paragraph.
