Position dependent on continued funding. This is a temporary, non-benefited position required to work 10-25 hours per week until at least June 30, 2021.

The program provides students with insightful counsel built on personal example and substantive relationships to understand their potential, establish milestones, and pursue life goals.

The Program Coordinator, under the direct supervision of the Executive in Residence with overall direction provided by the Executive Director of the Corporation, is responsible for delivering program services to all of our clients (students and program partners). The Program Coordinator serves as the day-to-day contact for our students, meeting regularly to plan and track their progress in the program, The Program Coordinator serves as a resource providing support and assistance whenever needed. The Program Coordinator also works closely with other campus service providers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Provide administrative oversight of the Executives-in Residence program, contributing to strategic and tactical operations while building substantive relationships with stakeholders in Monterey County.
2. Oversee activities of Pay It Forward Scholarship Program with regard to recipient meeting attendance, recipient's commitment to the First Tee, mentor/mentee relationships, regular semester grade point average review, and continued compliance and eligibility.
3. Communicate with educators/high school advisors for the purpose of recruiting potential scholarship nominees and applicants, meeting criteria for scholarship awards. Track nominee/application progress. Set interviews with Scholarship Committee for final selection process.
4. Prepare and submit Purchase Requisition Forms, reimbursement, and payment request forms; review and confirm accuracy of invoices for approval of payment in a timely manner.
5. Contribute to and provide support during program and committee meetings.

1. Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Director.
2. Promotes and maintains an atmosphere of excellent internal and external customer service within the program and campus community.
3. Attends workshops, conferences, and trainings as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience working with diverse and multicultural populations and the ability to guide students of diverse backgrounds to higher levels of skill development. Ability to manage complex projects, work independently as well as collaboratively, and complete tasks on time. Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills. Ability to gather and analyze data; ability to reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate recommendations; ability to participate in and contribute to group meetings, conferences, and interviews; ability to present clear and concise information orally and in written reports. Ability to think creatively and conceptually and to apply independent judgment, discretion, and initiative to address problems and develop practical, thorough, and creative solutions. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with administration, faculty, student, and community partners. Strong personal computer skills including Word Processing, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, database management. Knowledge of web development and experience with website maintenance.. Experience in developing marketing and publication materials. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the CSUMB Vision Statement and the core values of mutual respect, collaboration, multiculturalism and diversity, community service, and institutional excellence. Understanding of higher education issues and university environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
Equivalent to four years of progressively responsible administrative support experience under supervision which has involved supporting, monitoring, coordinating clerical work through a system of internal procedures and internal controls to ensure the efficient operation of an organization and demonstrated knowledge and abilities. Prospective applicants who have not had the experience listed may substitute other evidence of meeting the above qualifications for up to two years of the required experience.

Specialized Skills:
Demonstrated ability to address the essential functions associated with this position, including the knowledge and abilities identified above. Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends to meet deadlines or attend required meetings and/or events.

Compensation and Benefits:
The University Corporation is committed to providing our employees with a comprehensive program that rewards efforts that are appreciated by your colleagues, students, and the customers we serve. The hourly rate for this non-benefited position is: $23.00. This is a non-exempt position and as such is eligible for the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards.
