The Research Foundation of SUNY (RF-SUNY), a private, not-for-profit corporation, invites applications for a Project Director of the Student Support Services (TRIO-SSS) Program at SUNY Potsdam. Part of the college’s Student Success Center (SSC), TRIO-SSS provides an array of academic support services to low-income, first-generation, and disabled college students. The Director is responsible for overall operation of the grant, including: Coordination and oversight the TRIO-SSS program and its activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and college regulations, guidelines, and policies; Identifying, selecting, and monitoring the progress of eligible program participants; Writing and updating the grant proposal for submission to the US Dept. of Education; Generating reports on program outcomes; Working collaboratively with relevant campus departments; Presenting about TRIO during open houses and other campus events; Reviewing monthly budget reports and monitoring all program expenditures to ensure accordance with program goals and federal regulations; Supervision of three-person TRIO staff and additional student workers; and Advising and mentoring of program students. Required Qualifications: Master’s degree in higher education or related field. Experience with grant writing and management, staff supervision, budget management, academic support for disadvantaged students at the college level. Strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with federal TRIO programs, public speaking/teaching, creative problem solving. Experience with Banner, DegreeWorks, Starfish, Blumen software.
