The Executive Director, Compliance will facilitate continuing enhancement of the compliance road map that was launched five years ago. Reporting to the Chief Compliance and Audit Officer, the Executive Director, Compliance will oversee 11 staff and a corresponding budget. The Executive Director will have oversight of privacy matters, billing and coding compliance, general compliance and compliance training, and will serve as a liaison/collaborate with academic, research and HR compliance functions. Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 10 years of related Compliance experience. A master’s degree is required; a JD and compliance certification is preferred. A well-developed understanding of physician billing, coding and regulatory issues is essential, along with proficiency in providing guidance around physician focused patient privacy issues, including investigations. Skills in policy development and implementation are requisite to success. Substantial experience in a physician practice and/or an academic environment of comparable size and complexity is greatly preferred.
