Job Description:

The Mario J. Gabelli School of Business at Roger Williams University, Bristol RI, invites applications for position as Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor of accounting beginning fall 2021. Responsibilities include teaching financial, managerial and cost accounting as well as related courses such as Governmental and Forensic Accounting and Tax. The individual hired will be expected to provide excellence in teaching, advise students, and maintain a high level of professional activity through quality research and service.

Requirements:

Candidates should have an established record or demonstrated strong potential for high quality, innovative teaching and research, including publishing in appropriate, quality peer-reviewed journals. Minimum requirements include a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in accounting from an AACSB accredited institution. Licensure as a Certified Public Accountant is preferred. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered. Business experience is a plus, as is interest in "blue economy" and real estate initiatives.

At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
