Dining Room Attendant - On Call
Bates Dining, Conferences and Campus Events is the food service provider for the campus, which includes a catering component. This position performs student dining and related duties.
This position calls for someone who has an eye for detail and who is a thorough cleaner. The ability to work well with others from diverse backgrounds and exemplary organizational and time management skills are a must. This position performs student dining and related duties as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to, assisting on the food platforms and working front of the house service stations: beverage, choices, cereals, cashier, and gathering.
This is an on-call, per diem position.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, desired.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a collegiate food service environment desired.
- Ability to follow written and oral directions.
- General food service knowledge.
- Must understand and practice recycling and other sustainability practices.
- Values a team concept while focusing on providing outstanding customer service.
- Possess an eye for detail.
- Understands how important cleanliness is in a food service environment.
- Exemplary organizational and time management skills are a must.
- Ability to relate well to individuals with varying backgrounds, education and skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusivity and to serving the needs of a culturally and educationally diverse and inclusive community with diplomacy and tact.
- Must successfully complete a criminal background screening and physical.
