The Indiana Academy serves approximately 250 juniors and seniors who are gifted and talented from across the state of Indiana and through its international program. The Indiana Academy’s major purpose is to provide educational opportunities appropriate to the ability and development of its students. It is a primarily residential high school with several local non-residential students. Through various outreach programs, the Indiana Academy strives to stimulate and enable vitality in educational programs for students who are academically gifted. The Academy is committed to creating innovative programs and practices that attract, retain, and nurture a diverse Academy community.

Position Function
Manage the operation, evaluation, development, promoting and supervision of all academic programs of the Indiana Academy; comply with pertinent federal, state and local laws and administrative rules, policies and regulations of the university; communicate with the diverse publics of the Indiana Academy.
Minimum Education
Master’s degree in science, mathematics, humanities or education from an accredited college or university.
Minimum Experience
At least one year of experience as a school administrator.
Minimum Other
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (writing and speaking skills); outstanding interpersonal skills.; commitment to maintaining a diverse community of students and adults.
Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education
Doctorate in Science, Mathematics, Humanities or equivalent from an accredited Collage or University.
Preferred Experience
At least three years of experience as a school administrator; knowledge of research and effective programs for working with academically gifted students; successful grant writing experience.
Preferred Other
Willingness and ability to teach.
