Job Summary:

The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences welcomes applications for a full-time, tenure track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology. Appointments are set to begin no later than August 2020.
The specific area of research within psychology (topic, population, age range) is open, but successful applicants will demonstrate evidence of research productivity and possess strong skills in statistics, SPSS, and research methods. Candidates with specialized post-doctoral training in clinical psychology are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants must also demonstrate a clear commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level and in supervision of undergraduate field practicum.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Faculty typically teach 12 hours per semester (undergraduate), including a combination of service courses, upper level offerings (including lab-based courses), and courses in their specialty area.
• Faculty are expected to engage in professional development and scholarly pursuits and involve undergraduate students in these endeavors.
• Faculty are expected to contribute to the department, University, and profession through appropriate service obligations, including the advising of students.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• PhD in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program and internship training (individual with the PsyD or who are ABD will not be considered.
• License in the State of Ohio (or reciprocal status)
• A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment and the establishment of a research program that will incorporate undergraduate students.
• Successful candidate must be able to teach courses such as Statistics, Research Methods, Introduction to Psychology, and upper level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise such as Abnormal Psychology, Psychology of Children and Adolescents, Counseling Theories, and Field Practicum.
• Ability to develop classes Psychopharmacology and Psychotherapy will be considered a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
• Strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in a liberal arts environment
• Evidence of scholarship and the ability to develop a productive research program
• Programs of research that offer the ability to include undergraduate researchers will be given special consideration
• Post-Doctoral training in Clinical Psychology
