About the Opportunity:
Under the direction of the Director and Associate Director of First-year Engineering, the Program Coordinator position represents the public front facing position of the First-year Engineering Learning and Innovation Center (FYELIC) makerspace.

General job responsibilities include: Carry out general administrative tasks such as purchasing, budget management, FYELIC student staffing and management, providing faculty administrative support, operations assessment and data analysis, maintaining office supply inventory, and other related tasks as needed. Design and implement marketing and promotion materials for events, workshops, seminars, activities, and outings. Assist with the planning and execution of workshops, seminars, events and guest speaker engagements. Communicate with the Operations and Tech Manager to help facilitate with day-to-day operations of the FYELIC.

Bachelor's degree required. Interest in program management, particularly in higher education, is a plus. Excellent organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills. Desire to engage with students, faculty, administration, alumni, and guests. Develop the ability to navigate the administrative and logistic network at NU. Flexible, creative, and agile with task management. General familiarity with budgeting and purchasing systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and social media platforms. Some technical background is helpful: familiarity with basic makerspace operations.
