Shepherd University is a state-supported institution within the West Virginia system of higher education. From its beginnings over 130 years ago, the University has evolved into a comprehensive center of higher learning, offering baccalaureate and graduate degrees in a wide range of fields, encompassing the liberal arts, business administration, teacher education, the social and natural sciences, and other career-oriented areas. The university invites applications for the position of a full-time, tenure track, Assistant Professor of Accounting starting August 2021. Responsibilities will include teaching accounting courses in the undergraduate and/or graduate program, committee service, and advising responsibilities. Salary and benefits are commensurate with qualifications and experience; the salary range for the position is $65,000 - $75,000.
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates for this position must have a minimum of a Master's degree with CPA certification and be willing to pursue a doctorate degree to be eligible for tenure. Candidate must have an interest in or experience in teaching courses online. Publication or intellectual contributions are also requirements for tenure.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred candidates should possess a Doctorate with CPA certification or have acceptance into a doctorate program with CPA certification.
