Community College of Philadelphia (CCP) announces a search for the next Dean of Math, Science, and Health Careers. CCP is an open-admission, associate-degree-granting institution with programs of study in the liberal arts and sciences, career technologies, and basic academic skills that provide a coherent foundation for college transfer. With 78 percent of its graduates employed in Philadelphia, and 93 percent working in the Greater Philadelphia region, the College plays a major role in key industries in the city. The Math and Natural Science programs prepare students for career programs and certificates as well as transfer to baccalaureate programs at other highly regarded institutions, and programs in Health Careers prepare students to meet current and evolving labor market needs.

THE POSITION

The Dean of Math, Science, and Health Careers serves as a member of the Vice President's leadership team, participates in the College's strategic planning, provides oversight and management of assessment in the division, and works closely with both academic and administrative areas of the College. Reporting to the Vice President for Academic and Student Success, the Dean provides energetic, strategic, and collaborative leadership in the supervision and administration of divisional academic programs. An earned doctorate and evidence of academic leadership and accomplishment are required.
