General Summary/Purpose:

We are seeking a full time Sr. Research Assistant to support faculty and research staff with data management and analysis, project management tasks, and manuscript preparation.

Specific Duties/Responsibilities:

  • The Sr. Research Assistant will be responsible for data management for our multi-site study of HPV and will oversee the day to day quality assurance and management of all study data
  • Responsibilities will including data quality assurance, codebook creation, generation of new variables, synthesizing findings and preparing summary reports.
  • In addition, the Sr. Research Assistant will assist with drafting data collection tools, drafting and editing manuscripts, including preparing and modifying tables, figures, and references for publication.
  • The Sr. Research Assistant will also assist with coding and analyzing of data, database development, data cleaning, and conduct data analysis as needed including but not limited to generating tables with descriptive statistics, cross tabulations, and regression models.
  • Additionally, the Sr. Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting with data collection and study operating procedures as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline required.
  • Two (2) years of related experiencerequired.
  • Additional graduate level education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula:18 graduate degree credits (semester hours) may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s, MPH or MS in relevant field preferred.

  • Must be experienced with STATA or SAS

The pre-employment physical for positions in clinical areas, laboratories, working with research subjects, or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles), Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Varicella (chickenpox), Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two (2) MMR vaccines; two (2) Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the pre-employment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
