Position Summary:

This position resides in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) which is located at the heart of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus. CALS is one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges devoted to the study of our living world. This non-exempt benefits-eligible position performs a wide variety of administrative and logistical support services for faculty, staff, and student employees working in our divisional finance and administration units. The incumbent will manage a wide range of tasks from within the functional areas of Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Research Grant Management.

Duties are performed under the general supervision of the CALS Project Coordinator.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Prior work experience providing administrative and logistical support for team-based initiatives.

Proficiency in using digital tools such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneNote, Teams, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, WebEx, Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate, social media platforms, and other cloud-based tools for meeting, scheduling, storing and sharing information.

Ability to effectively use discretion, tact, and judgement when handling sensitive and/or confidential information.

Additional Information:

We are seeking applicants enthusiastic about organizing records, systems, and projects, while communicating with a diverse range of audiences. The position is responsible for performing routine and repetitive tasks while handling unexpected interruptions and multiple competing deadlines.

The candidate selected for this position will initially work remotely subject to an approved telecommuting agreement. Remote work requires successful candidates to possess their own high-speed internet and phone to perform the work on an employer provided computer.
