Position Primary Purpose and General Responsibilities

VCU HR has an exciting opportunity for an HR Operations Analyst to join our team!

The HR Operations Analyst’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Reviews paper and electronic forms for accuracy to ensure VCU, State and Federal p$36,000olicies are being followed and enters information into the VCU and State systems (Banner, PMIS, BES ) within established deadlines.

Uses functional and technical knowledge to provide department HR personnel with general guidance and informal training as needed.

Works closely with other HR Operations Analysts, Payroll, Internal HR and Departments to ensure excellent customer service and timely processing of all transactions.

Provides support, as needed, for the resolution of problems and/or sensitive issues related to HR actions.

Completes other duties as assigned.

Minimum Hiring Standards

Ability to provide quality customer service in a professional manner, communicating clearly and confidently, both orally and in writing, with employees at various levels within the organization and with people from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to exercise judgment, take initiative, prioritize work, meet non-negotiable time frames, and pay attention to detail in a time-sensitive, high volume work environment.

Experience and ability to work in an open office and team environment.

Experience with email and Microsoft Office products.

Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU .

Preferred Hiring Standards

Experience using HR Information Systems

Experience in higher education and/or state agencies
