Job Summary
The Assistant Director for State Programs and FWS will assist in all aspects of the administration and awarding of the State and FWS Programs.

Responsibilities
  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Review and ensure that the appropriate students are awarded state funds in accordance with state regulations using CHECS and BANNER
  • Review CHECS and BANNER data to ensure accuracy and work with offices on campus and at other schools to update data
  • Assist in the administration of the Federal Work-Study Program to expand the program into our local communities at non-profit organizations and school systems in order to offer GSU students meaningful, real-world work experiences
  • Supervise off-campus students as well as input information into the Payroll systems.
  • Off-campus visits to employers will be a part of this position
  • Develop budgets for departments and award students who are eligible for Federal Work-Study as they are hired.
  • Serve as the point person for departments and entities who have student employees funded by Federal Work-Study along with the Associate Director
  • Supervise an Administrative Assistant and a Staff Assistant

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of related work experience

$44,400
