About the College/Department:


Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Superintendent, position will operate the Model Lab secondary school in an exemplary manner, ensuring a world-class education for students. Position will work with faculty and staff to design and implement innovative and research-based instruction for secondary students, and provide preservicing for K-12 teachers.

Responsibilities will include daily operations, student and employee supervision, professional development and professional growth plans, secondary schedule, student clubs & activities, athletics, student discipline
teacher evaluation, graduation plans, planning, collaboration and support for programs at Model and EKU, public and community relations, and other related functions as directed.


Minimum Qualifications:
Possess or be eligible for secondary principal certification through the Kentucky Department of Education Professional Standards Board;

A Master’s degree from a regionally accredited or internationally recognized institution;

A minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience and three (3) years of successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting.


Desired Qualifications:
Laboratory school experience or similar
