Position Summary:

This position is a critical educational position within the Department of Neurological Surgery. The person holding this position is responsible for managing the Department's International Visiting Scholar Program activities. The person manages and oversees the recruitment, onboarding, training and teaching of research techniques to program participants with Dr. Mustafa Baskaya, the programs director.

This position works with the department education coordinator managing the scientific and medical aspects of the Neurosurgery Regional Courses conducted in the Lincoln Ramirez Neurosurgical Skills Lab and participates in the teaching of the courses.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

-PhD or MD in Neurosurgery, Neuroscience, or related field required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-At least 2 years of neurological diseases research or related experience required.
-Strong experience in neuroanatomical and skull base research required.
-Strong experience and knowledge in handling cadaveric specimens required.
-Strong Medical Terminology required, preferably in Neurosurgery, Neuroscience, or related field.

-Strong experience in medical procedures and decision making highly desired.

Additional Information:

Criminal Background Check is required.

A 12 month period of evaluation will be required.
