Job Description

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is currently recruiting for an Employment and Engagement Coordinator to join the Human Resources team. The Coordinator will assist the Employment and Engagement team with continuous improvement among the areas of recruiting, training/development and employee relations. They will work with the team to help create and implement a variety of employee engagement programs and activities for faculty and staff at all three of our campuses.

Responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist the Executive Director with a variety of departmental and university-wide initiatives; to include coordinating activities, keeping track of priorities, practicing effective follow-up/through to task/project completion; scheduling meetings and events
  • Review Exit Interview Surveys and evaluate turnover data. Inform leadership of trends and highlight opportunities for improvement of our employee retention strategies; conduct exit interviews, document and share results; track and report data from employee 30 and 90 day employee satisfaction surveys
  • Assist with upkeep and maintenance of the Workday system to include creating announcements, testing processes, creating and updating notification verbiage, learning topics and courses, etc.
  • Update our Administrative Policies and Procedure Manual (APPM) as needed; initiate annual or bi-annual review
  • Write draft communications for the department to include policy change notices, annual notices, performance evaluation launches, survey info, project updates, initiative roll-outs, etc.
  • Participate in New Employee Orientation (NEO) and cultivate relationships with new hires to gather data necessary to effectively create and manage engagement programs; assist with follow-up notifications, scheduling tours of ERAU facilities; ordering ERAU branded merchandise for give-aways
  • Complete research into new programs, law revisions, compliance, etc.; create executive summaries of findings and report to executive director and other leadership within the department
  • Assist with maintenance and growth of the Discounts & Perks program; assist with coordination of related events and activities
  • Assist with management and maintenance of employee relations files; upload to SharePoint; organize folders
  • Assist with ensuring our internal HR site and external Careers websites remain accurate and current at all times
  • Work with recruiting team to ensure reference checks are completed in a timely manner


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and at least two years of HR support experience
  • In lieu of degree, will consider candidates with at least five years of HR support experience
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Exceptional technical skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office Products such as PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Proven track record of success with managing multiple projects and seeing the projects through to completion
  • Strong administrative support background

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR Certification
  • Experience reviewing HR related data and presenting key findings to larger population
  • Experience with Workday
