The successful candidate will teach introductory biology and its associated labs as well as advanced courses in their area of expertise. Teaching load will be two courses with two lab sections each and one seminar course without lab. This is an open field search, but candidates that can teach a course in vertebrate anatomy, human physiology, neurobiology, development, plant physiology, or ecology may be of particular interest. Qualifications include a Ph.D., a record of strong scholarship and teaching at the undergraduate level, and experience mentoring students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.

Applications must be made online at https://careers.mtholyoke.edu/ by submitting a cover letter, CV, and statements of (1) teaching philosophy, (2) research interests, and (3) mentoring a diverse student body. Applicants should also provide contact information for three references. Three letters of reference will be requested before inviting candidates to a first round interview. Application review will begin on April 19th, but all application submitted before 4/26 will receive full consideration.
