Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant (several posts) in the Division of Health Economics, Policy and Management of the School of Public Health (Ref.: 503570), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in public health, health economics, biostatistics, computer sciences, or a related quantitative discipline. They must be proficient in data analysis using statistical or computer modelling software, such as R. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and a demonstrated record of publishing academic research papers. They should be organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team.
The appointees will participate in an interdisciplinary five-year health economics and health policy research programme on population health, including modelling the long-term spill over impact of COVID-19 on non-communicable disease outcomes, analysing healthcare utilization, and evaluating public health interventions. They will oversee literature reviews, process and analyse data, prepare manuscript and reports, liaise with external parties, supervise junior research staff, assist in the development of new research initiatives, and perform other research-related duties as assigned. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
