About the Opportunity:
The Bouve College of Health Sciences and The Roux Institute at Northeastern University seek candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the emerging area of healthcare data science. Faculty will have primary responsibility for working with the Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics (OHDSI) Center (https://ohdsi.org/) at the Roux Institute. Examples include data standardization, medical product safety surveillance, comparative effectiveness research, personalized risk prediction, data characterization, and quality improvement. Aspiring candidates may be developing methods or applications that use computational modeling, meta-analysis of individual patient data, and large patient-level datasets to enhance our understanding of health. We are also interested in efforts to understand and reduce health disparities among marginalized populations.

Responsibilities:

The candidate will also engage in curriculum development and assessment, classroom and online teaching, serve on capstone and dissertation committees, and engage in service to the Department, College, and University. We seek individuals who can leverage their research agenda to facilitate collaborations with other Colleges interested in healthcare data science (Computer Science, Engineering, Humanities, etc.) and bring innovative pedagogical methods into undergraduate and graduate student teaching.

Qualifications:
