Position Title: Campaign Manager (Full-Time)

Accountable to:  President & CEO

 

Position Summary:  The Campaign Manager will support the Campaign Steering Committee and the National Museum of Mexican Art’s (NMMA) campaign consultants in the overall management, planning and ongoing execution of the Campaign.  The Campaign Manager will champion and promote the mission of the NMMA to the community and to current and potential donors and perform appropriate duties as assigned by the President & CEO.

 

Essential Functions:

    Support the work of the Campaign Steering Committee and NMMA’s campaign consultants through day-to-day management of campaign processes, including drafting campaign correspondence in addition to the following:
       Preparing solicitation proposals  Scheduling meetings  Distributing the minutes and action items of meetings  Maintaining the master campaign calendar  Managing  and participating fully in the activities and efforts of the Campaign Steering Committee
    Provide monthly development reports regarding goals, initiatives and progress on the Campaign Work collaboratively with NMMA Board of Trustees on the Campaign Create briefing materials and presentation materials in advance of meetings, solicitations and events Communicate regularly with the Campaign team and Steering Committee to ensure completion of action items Acknowledge all contributions and coordinate special recognition at different levels emphasizing relationship- building and stewardship best practices Supervise entry of gifts and pledges into the database and acknowledge all campaign pledges and paid gifts including preparing:
      Pledge agreements  Pledge payment reminders
    Follow-up with past due pledges and outstanding payments/pledge installments Provide the primary organizational support and tracking to keep donor contacts connected, engaged and involved
    Perform other related duties

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

    Knowledge of best practices in non-profit fundraising Proficiency in database management, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other computer skills  Ability to effectively, professionally and diplomatically interact with NMMA donors, Board of Trustees, members and staff at all levels Ability to understand and effectively articulate the mission and future plans of the NMMA  Very strong organizational, analytical and strategic planning skills; follow-up, sense of self direction and excellent attention to detail Professional with excellent judgement who is able to establish, monitor and meet timelines.  The individual must be able to perform well within a fast-paced organization and manage multiple competing priorities. Strong written and oral communication skills and public speaking; must be able to communicate professionally, effectively and diplomatically Unquestioned integrity, ethics and values with proven ability to be trusted with highly confidential and sensitive information

 

Minimum Qualifications:

    To be successful, an individual must be able to perform each job duty satisfactorily
    A B.A degree from an accredited college or university. A major in art history or other arts-related field is desirable. Minimum of three years experience in fundraising or sales with proven experience in setting and achieving fundraising and/or sales goals (preferred in a non-profit setting) Successful experience working with high-profile volunteer leadership and senior executives  Demonstrated experience in managing people, volunteer programs and best practices Experience managing and/or supporting annual giving campaigns, solicitations and stewardship, donor recognition, donor databases and special events Experience in Chicago Area fundraising desirable
