Job Responsibilities:

The Tommy and Victoria Baker School of Business is seeking an academic professional to lead our graduate and college transfer programs (CTP). The school offers programs face-to face, online and in hybrid format. The director collaborates with faculty, other graduate program directors, the dean of enrollment management, and the business community. The Director will lead the continued development and innovative delivery of graduate level programs in business. Building and fostering relationships in the local, national, and global business community is an essential component of the position. The Director may teach in one of the School of Business academic programs in his or her field of specialization. This is a full-time, administrative appointment reporting to the Dean of the Business School under a renewable term contract.

Requirements of the position include, but are not limited to, program strategic planning and development; student support, marketing and recruiting; curriculum management; student admissions; and program assessment. The director of graduate and college transfer programs will work with the Dean and faculty to identify, select, and develop faculty to provide instruction in the programs. Curriculum management entails working on an on-going basis with the faculty curriculum committees to insure the smooth implementation of all aspects of the program’s goals and successful outcomes for the programs.

The director will provide leadership for the establishment and strengthening of curriculum mapping, assessment, and cyclical program reviews in accordance with AACSB and SACS standards. The director will ensure that students receive appropriate advising and academic support ; additionally, the director supervises the graduate/CTP academic advisor. Further, the director will work to develop and strengthen the faculty advising program for students. Marketing and recruiting includes working with the College’s strategic plan to establish and strengthen visibility and support for the programs; acting as a community liaison as the face of the programs to the business community for raising friends and funds to support the programs. The director will also be expected to seek out and participate in business events and develop activities which bring business, governmental organizations, and not for profit organizations into partnership with the program to enhance recruitment efforts and job placement results.



Qualifications and Requirements:

A graduate degree in business is required. Entrepreneurial mindset coupled with a commitment to institutional and departmental collaboration is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD is preferred. Several years of experience in a managerial or leadership role is desirable. Ability to teach in field of specialization is desirable.
