Job Summary
The Adjunct Assistant Professor, in the department of Philosophy and Religion is expected to teach Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics, and Logic and Critical Thinking. Other duties expected of part-time faculty, include being able to meet with students, developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes, and other duties as assigned. This position will be available to teach face-to-face starting in the fall of 2021, with potential for teaching in spring 2021. Teaching assignments could be any combination of face-to-face (day or evening), online, or using teleconference software like Zoom. Teaching assignments are subject to change as needed.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Philosophy OR Master's degree and 18 graduate credit hours in philosophy and related experience
Demonstrated ability to teach Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics and Critical Thinking
College level teaching experience
Preferred Qualifications
PhD in Philosophy
Demonstrated expertise in Philosophy
Demonstrated knowledge of academic culture
Demonstrated successful teaching at the college level
Community college teaching experience
