Teaching faculty at Guilford Technical Community College are responsible for supporting student success by creating an optimum learning environment, responding to student needs, managing effective instructional activities, modeling employability skills, demonstrating professionalism, developing cooperative work relationships with other faculty and staff, supporting college administrative requirements, and maintaining competency in their instructional field. He/she will be responsible for quality instruction and for effective participation and interest in the total affairs of the college. Under general supervision, this position will prepare and teach the NC Real Estate Broker Post-licensing and/or General Update courses to students enrolled in Continuing Education training. The purpose of the instruction is to provide students who hold a provisional brokers license with Post-licensing education in order to obtain active license status eligibility. Additionally, Continuing education (CE) training courses, including the General Update course and elective courses, will be offered to all licensees wishing to maintain active license status eligibility.
Education Required
- Associate's degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution - Current North Carolina Real Estate Broker License (not on provisional status) - Approved by the NC Real Estate Commission to teach Post-licensing or General Update courses
Education Preferred
- Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution
Experience Required
- 2 years of full-time experience as a real estate broker in North Carolina
Experience Preferred
- More than 2 years of full-time experience as a real estate broker in North Carolina - Experience in teaching Post-licensing or General Update courses - Community College teaching or training experience - Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes. - Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems.
