Ives Distinguished Visiting Lecturer, English and World Languages (Term)
Summary of Position:
Teach courses in
Italian language and literature and undergraduate and/or graduate
courses examining the Italian American experience in the U.S. from
an interdisciplinary perspective, plus the ability to teach one or
more courses in at least one other field in the Humanities
(History, English, Philosophy, or American Studies).
Pursue appropriate scholarship.
Deliver and/or organize at least one public lecture, panel discussion or presentation per semester on a topic related to Italian American Studies.
Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Minimum Qualifications
An appropriate
terminal degree. At least three years of university teaching
experience including courses in Italian language and courses
related to the Italian American experience. An active research
agenda which includes scholarly inquiry into topics related to the
Italian American experience.
Preferred Qualifications
The ability to teach one or more courses in at least one other
field in the Humanities (History, English, Philosophy, or American
Studies).
