Assistant Professor, Gender and Diversity in Canadian Politics, Department of Political Science

The Department of Political Science in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Calgary is seeking applicants for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant professor for an anticipated start date of July 1, 2021.

The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in political science and have an active research program in gender and diversity in Canadian politics, and an ability to teach research methods in political science. They will be expected to provide service to the Department of Political Science, the University, and potentially the wider community.

The successful candidate must provide evidence of a record of, or clear potential for, excellence in:

• Research that centres on gender and diversity in Canadian politics and government
• Teaching and student mentorship

Evidence should include high-quality peer reviewed publications and a record of success with, or potential for, securing competitive funding. Evidence of teaching effectiveness should include a teaching dossier.
