Assistant Professor of Nursing

Responsible for course development, lecture, lab, and clinical instruction within the traditional baccalaureate Nursing program. Also responsible for shared duties with lab operation. Potential responsibilities related to the development of graduate programming.

The Faculty has responsibilities that include classroom teaching, campus laboratory instruction, and clinical instruction. It is expected that they possess knowledge and demonstrate expertise in the teaching/learning process. Competency in assigned area of teaching is mandatory. Knowledge of student assessment and basic computer skills are expectations. Participation in University, departmental and program activities regarding ongoing functioning, assessment, planning, and evaluation are required. Participation in scholarly work is expected. Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in nursing
• Experience of at least two years in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse, and teaching experience
• Must hold current, valid, unrestricted license as a registered nurse in Ohio
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association) is required.
