The Director of Applied Learning and Entrepreneurship will
strategically develop, implement, evaluate, and refine applied
learning initiatives for students that create the space for them to
try a range of approaches to tackling complex challenges. This is
an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, self-motivated, and
entrepreneurial individual who is passionate about building
relationships and developing programs that push students to think
and learn in new and creative ways. This is a senior position at
Athena. The Director will bring to the role knowledge and
experience in entrepreneurship and program facilitation.- The
selected candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree
preferred)- 5-7 years of relevant professional level experience in
roles required managing multiple priorities and interacting with
multiple constituencies- Experience providing leadership in an
educational setting preferred- Experience working with faculty and
undergraduates- Experience facilitating for groups, especially
groups that meet regularly over a long period of time- A deep
commitment to the mission of Barnard College and women's leadership
