Position Summary:

Undergraduate research is central to the mission of the Department of Mathematics. The Associate Director for Undergraduate Research will play a pivotal role in fostering and developing the undergraduate research program, a new initiative within the department. Since this is a new research laboratory, the successful applicant will have the unique opportunity of helping to develop such a program from the ground up. The position also carries a teaching load of 4-5 courses per year.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

PhD in Mathematics or related field required, preference will be given to PhD in Mathematics

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required:
Minimum 2 years teaching at college level.
Minimum 2 semesters or summers experience with supervision or mentorship of undergraduate research.
Demonstrated innovation and excellence in teaching undergraduate students.
Documented interest in undergraduate research.

Additional Information:

Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
