Position Summary:
The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a physician with a focus on outpatient neuro-rehabilitation. The candidate will be working with inpatients and outpatients at UW Health locations. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in research, clinical activities and education.

Principal Duties:
Duties will include provision of clinical care with a focus on neuro-rehabilitation. Clinically, the candidate will work with neuro-rehabilitation outpatients and inpatients (including, but not limited to, stroke, TBI, SCI, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, cerebral palsy, spasticity management, prosthetics management) at clinical locations including; UW Health Middleton Rehabilitation Clinic and the UW Health Rehabilitation Hospital. The candidate will focus their practice primarily on outpatient neuro-rehabilitation patients. The candidate will be the lead attending physician for UW Health's Amputee Clinic and will have a significant role in managing intra-thecal pumps. The candidate will also act as an inpatient attending as needed based on census. Additionally, the candidate will perform inpatient rehabilitation consultations at University Hospital and other institutions as indicated for patients requiring a rehabilitation consult.
The candidate will be expected to participate in the Rehabilitation Medicine call schedule.
The candidate will be expected to increase the rehabilitation medicine practice through referrals from the region and state; to participate in outreach activities via presentations and/or clinics at hospitals and medical centers throughout the state and region; to have an active role in the training and education of medical students, residents and fellows in the area of rehabilitation medicine.
The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public, university service and research. Additionally, the successful applicant will participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health, the School of Medicine and Public Health and the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.
