We are searching for an experiencedCoordinator HR/Professional Development (Part-time).

Job Purpose:
Serve as the Collin College Workday Training Coordinator. Assist the HR Professional Development Manager with training development and facilitation, the performance appraisal process, and support of other professional development programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the facilitation of training related to professional development and leadership, recruitment and hiring processes, performance appraisals, new-hire orientation, and other topics, as needed. Assist with researching, proofreading, and developing training materials.
  • Assist with the coordination of training logistics and administration, including organizing materials, scheduling locations, setting up classrooms for training sessions, and maintaining attendance records.
  • Serve as the Collin College Workday Training Coordinator and perform all associated duties. Responsibilities include scheduling Workday training, assigning classes for attendees, and collecting material from the Workday Community.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as Collin College policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in response to changing needs of the college and/or Human Resources team.
  • Perform all duties to maintain all standards in accordance with College policies, procedures and Core Values.


Required Qualifications:

Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution. Bachelor’s degree preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of HR work experience required.

Licenses and Certifications
SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR preferred.

Equivalency Language
An additional two (2) years of of human resources or training/teaching experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices related to human resources
  • Familiarity with presenting and facilitating training programs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent proofreading skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills with proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Proficient with Cornerstone and/or Workday preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn and facilitate training materials
  • Ability to instruct others
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly having to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for the Sedentary Work category and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated Light Work. Positions in this class typically include talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions, plus stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Occasional physical effort required.
