Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Art and Design

The School of Arts & Humanities at Mount St. Joseph University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art and Design. The position will begin in August of 2021.

Qualifications

We seek candidates with an MFA in Photography, Media Studies, Electronic Art, or other appropriate terminal degree. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in our Fine Art, Graphic Design, and Art Education programs, along with courses serving our core curriculum. Proficiency in Adobe CC Suite and an understanding of industry expectations for aspiring fine artists/photographers is required. Additional skills in illustration, animation, or other studio art areas are expected. A strong commitment to teaching, advising, departmental citizenship, student recruitment, and a demonstrated program of creative/scholarly activity is required. Other duties as assigned. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability and commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
