The University of Florida (UF), Department of Physiological Sciences invites applications for a post-doctoral researcher to join our group. This position seeks to hire a motivated individual to oversee molecular research pertaining to CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing in cell models. The incumbent will be responsible for performing quality control and laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise gene editing data, as well as conducting method development and literature searches on identified topics relevant to the research program. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and updating (where required) all standard operating procedures pertaining to the project, as well as analyze data and prepare manuscripts and grant reports. Responsibilities will also include performance of statistical analyses of experimental data using general statistical packages, tabulation, and summarization of statistical and genomic data.

Applicants should have obtained an MS or Ph.D. with a focus in Molecular Biology.

This will be a 12-month appointment with the potential for further extension based upon success of the project and further funding opportunities. Expected salary range will be $52,000 - $55,000; commensurate with experience.
