Description

Full time, one-year contract faculty position in secondary education social studies methods available August 2021. Responsibilities include three methods courses in the fall (two sections of junior high methods and one of secondary school methods) and one introduction to the social studies course and supervision of some 12 student teachers in the spring. Each semester faculty teaching load equivalent of 3 credit hours will be granted to allow for the writing of a report assessing the department’s embedded teacher certification process in conjunction with representatives in Teachers College. Appointment is for academic year 2021-2022.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Studies from an acredited institution.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Social Studies from an accredited institution.
