Additional Information

With the opening of a new Multicultural Center, Ball State University is looking for an Assistant Director to serve until June 30, 2022. This is a full-time temporary position with an excellent benefits package.

Position Function

Represent the Multicultural Center at various events; coordinate campus-wide educational and awareness programs; supervise the EXCEL Mentor program, especially in the absence of the Director.

Minimum Education

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university by August 1, 2021.

Minimum Experience

At least one year experience working in higher education in the area of diversity, inclusion and/or multicultural issues.

Minimum Other

Evidence of skills in programming, organization, communication, advising and program development.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related fields.

Preferred Experience

At least one year of a graduate assistantship or professional experience in higher education in student affairs administration; experience working with students of color; experience working with student organizations; experience with intervention strategies for at-risk students.

Preferred Other
