Working Title: Financial Specialist Official Title: Financial Specialist Senior Employment Class: University Staff FTE: 1.0 Compensation: $20.00 - $22.25 per hour FLSA Status: Non-exempt Terms of Employment: Continuous Position Summary: This position reports to the Assistant Bursar in the Finance and Administration office. The incumbent of this position will manage the finances for the Athletic Department including purchasing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, deposits, reconciliation, and other cash management. The incumbent will also manage the ticketing software for the Athletic Department. Responsibilities
40% Athletic Purchasing
Responsible for purchasing divisional supplies through approved vendors. Initiate all purchases by obtaining vendor quotes, selecting the most effective and efficient method of purchase while adhering to University purchasing regulations.
25% Athletics Account Receivable
Responsible for processing deposits and refunds of cash, checks, and credit card payments that the division receives.
10% Athletics Accounts Payable
Responsible for processing Direct Pay Requests (DPR) to pay vendor invoices for supplies received and services provided.
10% Ticket Management
Responsible for creating and monitoring events in the ticketing software.
5% Payroll
Complete all new hire paperwork
5% Athletic Camps
Oversee the camp administrative roles
5% Other duties as assigned
Excellent Written and verbal communication
Experience in the customer service industry
Demonstrated Basic Accounting
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion Preferred: At least three years accounting experience and/or accounting degree
Experience using WISDM
Experience working with a ticketing system
