The American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) is excited to announce a half-time executive level job opportunity.  Do you have a passion for and commitment to equity in higher education, developing others, diversifying leadership, mentorship, leadership development and recruitment?  We invite you to read on if this sounds like you!

The Executive Director of the Millennium Leadership Initiative is an inspiring opportunity to provide oversight, direction and support for AASCU’s premiere leadership development program, the Millennium Leadership Initiative (MLI).  MLI provides individuals traditionally underrepresented in the highest ranks of higher education the opportunity to develop skills, gain a philosophical overview and build the network needed to advance to the presidency. The Executive Director will be responsible for networking and collaborating with leaders across higher education to design and administer the Millennium Leadership Initiative program.

In this role, you will develop program curriculum and promotional materials, recruit, train and match current and retired presidents to serve as mentors for program participants and embrace diverse, equitable and inclusive perspectives. Additionally, you will collaborate with MLI standing committees, cultivate funding sources, including major gifts and oversee the budget. The successful candidate will have experience in program development, leadership development and fund development; anchored in equity, diversity and inclusion

This position is half-time and can be done virtually, with some travel required.  The Executive Director will also have access to our physical office space at our Washington, DC headquarters. Benefits for this half-time position are negotiable.
