The University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine is recruiting for a two full-time academic position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical (HSCP) series. Appointee to the HSCP is required to teach, participate in University service, is actively involved in research and scholarly works, and provide direct patient care and work collaboratively with a diverse group of hospitalists in the inpatient clinical setting. This position is reserved for applicants with experience teaching first and second year medical students, at the director level, such as course director or instructor-of-record (IOR) and who are actively working on securing grant-based research. Hospital Medicine Faculty responsibilities include inpatient clinical care, both with and without housestaff; teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; university/public service; and regular attendance and participation at scheduled meetings and CME activities.
Candidates must have MD or DO degree, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of California. Duties include inpatient non-teaching hospital medicine work, as well as teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
