Instructor of Mathematics
Duties: Nine-month, non-tenure track mathematics instructor position; teaching load will typically be 15 hours each semester with the possibility of summer employment; courses taught would primarily include Trigonometry, Pre- Calculus, and Calculus I courses; College Algebra, Math Literacy, and developmental courses may also be assigned and other duties as assigned. Expectations of the position include demonstrated interest in increasing competence through professional development opportunities. The appointment is renewable annually, based on review of teaching performance.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics; prior experience in teaching math at the college level required; comprehensive classroom instruction to students from diverse backgrounds and abilities required; possess appropriate computer skills, including the ability to use stand-alone or web-based courseware and other teaching tools.
