Centenary College of Louisiana invites applications for the position of Director of Career Services.

This is a full-time position with benefits. The Director of Career Services reports to the Dean of Students.

The Director of Career Services will help students identify their interests, talents, passions, and vocational opportunities through teaching a course and providing direct student support.  The Director works proactively to support the successful transition of Centenary students and graduates from college to profession.  The Director provides advice, assistance, and support to facilitate employer connections, graduate school admissions, and professional commencement, working in close coordination with faculty and the Office of Integrated Advising. 

A Master’s degree in counseling and three years of relevant and progressive experience in career counseling or related experience is required. Candidates must be people oriented, have good verbal communication and presentation skills; and the ability to work well with diverse individuals, teams, and constituencies, proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to work in high-energy, high traffic areas, and meet deadlines while demonstrating attention to detail.

Centenary College of Louisiana is a selective, residential, national liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Founded in 1825, it is the oldest chartered liberal arts college west of the Mississippi river and is a member of the Associated Colleges of the South.
