The University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a Research and Assessment Librarian who will report to the Associate Dean for Collection Strategies, University of Miami Libraries (UML), and will support the Libraries’ administrative leadership and management teams to understand, predict and accommodate user needs for information resources and learning services. Assessment duties: develops and implements performance metrics and analytics for library collections and library operations; analyzes and reports assessment data in a variety of formats; coordinates and reports data collection for surveys; develops annual reports to support University accreditation. Teaching duties: teaches data visualization and analysis classes; teaches library research methods to undergraduate classes; teaches assessment methods to library personnel. Outreach and collection duties: serves as liaison librarian to the Judaic Studies Program; selects books, journals and databases.

 

Position requires a Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science or a closely related field (foreign equivalent acceptable), and two years of post-Master’s experience working in an academic research library. The post-Master’s academic library experience must include data analysis work conducted in one or more of the following areas: library acquisitions, library collections, and/or library user behavior.
