PRIMARY DUTY: One faculty position in Mathematics or Statistics within the Mathematics and Statistics Department at the Assistant Professor level.  



  1. Teach courses in mathematics, statistics, and/or related classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  2. Advise students in these areas
  3. Participate in service and student support activities
  4. Conduct applied and/or theoretical research in these areas
  5. Be willing to work as a team on teaching and department activities
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.



      Education: Doctoral degree in Mathematics or related field

      Skills: Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in mathematics or stat/data science.


WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical classroom, mathematics lab, and office conditions with student focused office hours required  


EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED:  Typical classroom and office equipment       


TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Ability to complete classroom functions and lift up to 20 pounds

COLLEGE: The College of Arts and Sciences is comprised of five departments and 16 academic areas, offering 104 different majors and minors programs. DEPARTMENT: The Mathematics and Statistics Department has 14 full-time faculty members with several undergraduate programs, including comprehensive and non-comprehensive majors in mathematics (with the option of an emphasis in Data Sciences) and mathematics education and minors in the same. There are three graduate programs: M.S.Ed Teaching: Mathematics, M.S.Ed. Elementary Mathematics, and M.S. Mathematics.
