Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
UVU is seeking a Buyer for the UVU Campus Store. This role purchases and markets technology merchandise. Responsible for Apple promotions and Apple quarterly reviews and statements. Responsible for marketing displays and events. Maintains profitability following industry benchmarks. Trains lower level staff employees. Schedules staff employment coverage and monitors performance. Maintains records and reviews, analyzes and evaluates department budget within area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing and one year retail experience or a combination of the education and work, totaling five years.

Demonstrated supervisory skills. Excellent written and oral communication. Customer service experience. Must be able to communicate with students, faculty, staff, alumni and vendors.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of display and retail
• Skills in marketing and promotional.
• Ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to communicate in writing and orally.
• Ability to resolve complaints and concerns.
• Ability to train and motivate employees for performance.

Preferred Qualifications:
MBS and/or Banner experience.
Apple Certification.


Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Some weekend and evening work.

Pay Range: $30,652 - $38,315
